Bengaluru, June 29, 2016: Sindhi Seva Samiti, sponsoring the Sindhi Group of Educational Institutions, celebrates 60 years of existence, serving the society in areas of education, poor family relief, eye and organ donation and health services. 
To celebrate the occasion in the form of Seva, they are organizing a Walkathon to create awareness of Eye and Organ Donation on Saturday, July 2, 2016. The event will be inaugurated by Sri Sandeep Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and a part of the Alumni, at Sindhi High school, at 7.30 AM.In commemoration of their Diamond Jubilee Anniversary, over 2000 students and faculty members of the three Schools will be participating in this event.
The Walkathon will start from Sindhi High School, Kumar Krupa Road, and complete a 4 km route and will end at the same place. For this occasion, the Sindhi Seva Samiti had conducted a few other activities in preparation for this event.
Every year we plan different activities to celebrate this occasion. This year we have understood the need of the hour which is Eye and Organ Donation and hence are organizing a Walkathon. The Walkathon will be led by our School children, said Mr. Deepak Narang – President, Sindhi Seva Samiti. Through this walkathon we want to encourage more and more people to come forward and donate Eye and Organs, he added.
Sindhi Seva Samiti extended its vision of providing education at an affordable price by starting the Sindhi Seva School & Sindhi Academy of Skills at Hebbal, as a philanthropic gesture to integrate less privileged children into the mainstream of education and continues with a positive response. Sindhi schools offer to their students a holistic, progressive, creative system of education that gives the students a sense of responsibility and caters to their all-round development. The schools promote social awareness, duty consciousness and team work as an integral part of education.

World’s Best Commando Trainer Shifuji Trains Bengaluru women in self-defense

Bengaluru, June 25: Saturday morning began on a different note for the women in Bengaluru. Breaking completely out of routine, these women walked into Trio World Academy to be part of an event that would provide them insights in self defense and safety. The world’s best commando with a mission to equip women in self-defense and unarmed combat tactics unleashed a session abundant with the knowledge required to empower them against all odds.

The session was inaugurated on Saturday on the campus of Trio World Academy, Sahakarnagar and will continue onto Sunday. Grandmaster Shifuji demonstrated unarmed combat to the gathering of women present and also educated them on the need and the manner one can be alert about their surroundings and respond to any attack promptly.

Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bhardwaj’s Mission Prahar initiative is a self-defense training program for women which aims to empower one crore women across the country. The mission has already reached out to around 30 lakh women and has been constantly on the move to reach out to more.

“Safety needs to be self driven. It is important for all women to understand that they should be adequately equipped to protect themselves from attacks and not wait for help. Mission Prahar aims to introduce women to the right way to fend off their attackers and stay alert about their surroundings. Toyota New Engine Plant Opened in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Toyota Industries Engine India (TIEI), a joint venture between Kirloskar Systems Ltd. (KSL) and Toyota Industries Corporation - Japan (TICO), in India, today announced the inauguration of a new engine production plant at Jigani Industrial Area, Bengaluru. The new plant will manufacture powerful and high performance Global Diesel (GD) Engine featuring Economy with Superior Thermal Efficiency Combustion (ESTEC) technology, which contributes to enhanced fuel efficiency. Spread across 22 acres with an investment of Rs. 1,100 crore, the engine manufacturing plant operates with a production capacity of 108,000 units/year and manufactures 1GD-FTV 2.8 litre & 2GD-FTV – 2.4 litre engines in compliance with BS 4 / Euro 4 emission standards with an additional provision to upgrade to BS 5 and 6 / Euro 5 and 6 with minimum investment and lead time in the future. Toyota Industries Engine India (TIEI) plant, the new state-of-the-art facility is the first GD Engine Plant of Toyota in India and third globally, after Japan and Thailand. The new plant was inaugurated by the Chief Guests Shri. The 2.4 litre & 2.8 litre engines equip Manual Transmission & Automatic Transmission of Innova Crysta respectively. The 2.4-litre 2GD-FTV engine is 47% more powerful & 13% more fuel efficient. And the 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV engine is 71% more powerful & 7% more fuel efficient, in comparison to the earlier used 2KD engine. 
The Indian Automotive Market is the fifth largest in the world and 40% of the cars sold are diesel vehicles. The new diesel plant in Bengaluru will further boost the employment opportunities in Karnataka, generating need for skilled manpower in the industry. This will create a convivial environment for foreign investors to further invest in the State.

Mumbai : JSW Ventures, the venture capital arm of the JSW Group, has received the mandatory clearances from markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), paving the way for it to begin investing.
JSW Ventures will focus on providing early-stage funding to technology-enabled start-ups operating in the education, healthcare, financial services, SaaS and enterprise software space. The fund will have an initial corpus of Rs. 100 crore which it will invest over a three-year period.
The fund will be overseen by Parth Jindal, recently appointed Managing Director of JSW Cement, while Gaurav Sachdeva has been appointed Managing Partner. 
Parth Jindal said, "Technology innovation is happening across sectors, from old-fashioned verticals like real estate to research-driven work being done in machine learning and artificial intelligence. BAJA SAEINDIA 2017 Virtual Round to be held at Bengaluru
