China abandons its decades old One Child Policy !

China, world most populous country has announced to abandon its three decades-long one-child policy and changed it two-child policy.
   The ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) in this regard has issued an official communiqué at the end of party’s 4 day plenary session headed by President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
The change of policy is intended to
- Balance population development world’s second largest economy.
-Address the challenge of unnatural negative demographics due rising numbers of old age population as well as concerns over declining labour force.
    This announcement comes amid slowdown of China’s economy which has plunged for the first time below the 7 per cent figure since the 2009 global economic crisis. 
Background
- China had introduced its One-Child Policy in 1978 and was implemented in 1980 to rein in population growth in order to alleviate social, economic and environmental problems in China.
- It main intention was reduce population growth of the country by limiting most urban couples to only one child. In case of rural couples it was limited to only two children if the first child was a girl.
- Under this policy only few ethnic minorities were exempted including Tibetans, Uighurs.
- The policy was considered controversial as it had forced many abortions and is still being criticised by Human Rights groups and activists. However, Chinese authorities have claimed this policy was one of the main reason for its economic prosperity.

- Ministry of Culture,Government Of India announces Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav.


New Delhi : The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, today announced that it would be hosting the most diverse cultural festival of India - RASHTRIYA SANSKRITI MAHOTSAV, which will be held from November 1 to 7, 2015 at the IGNCA, New Delhi. This seven day festival will showcase the spectacular diversity of India, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari through folk, tribal and classical art forms in all its dimensions - dance, music, drama, entertainment & food.
       The 24-acre IGNCA campus, near India Gate, will come alive with more than 150 art forms, 1500+ artists, star performers every evening and also performances by artists and performers from across the country. In addition to this, renowned artists including Gurdas Maan, Sharda Sinha, Roopkumar Rathod, Sonali Rathod, Toufiq Qureshi, Malini Awasthi, Pt. Sandeep Mahavir among others will be performing adding enormous glitz to the event. 
      The Mahotsav has been conceptualizedto promote, Preserve and Popularise India’s rich heritage and it is an open entry programme.The Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav willalso present a food and shopping extravaganza featuring the very best of indigenous handicrafts and flavours.       The RashtriyaSanskritiMohotsav, will go a long way in preserving and documenting the cultural diversity of India by showcasing ancient art forms such as Dhal Talwar Raas (dance using real swords and shields) from Udaipur, Dollu Kunitha (musical dance form) from Karnataka, Lai Haroba (traditional dance to please the god) from Manipur, Ghoomar (traditional folk dance form of Rajasthan), Godambaza (Tribal dance from MP), Rikampana from Arunachal, amongst several others. 
     The festival began with a precursor, Rashtriya Sanskriti Yatra, which is a programme to introduce the youth to the various facets of our culture by entertaining and engaging them. The youth outreach programmes involve institutions like DeenbandhuChhotu Ram University, Delhi Haat, Village Shilana, and across other schools, colleges and universities of India. 
      With an objective of connecting the younger generations with the sheer diversity of Indian culture, this festival will present a unique opportunity to witness folk, traditional, tribal and classical art forms of India at one destination. The festival will also involve schools, colleges and the younger generation from all walks of life thus creating a connect across audiences by entertaining and educating them at the same time.

Union Government launches e-Sahyog Pilot Project to facilitate Taxpayers

New Delhi:Union Finance Ministry has launched an e-Sahyog pilot project of Income-Tax Department to facilitate taxpayers to reduce their need to physically appear before tax authorities.
     It was launched by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley at a function in New Delhi in line with Union Government flagship Digital India initiative.
 Key facts about e-Sahyog project :
    Aims to reduce compliance cost, especially for small taxpayers and provide an online mechanism to resolve mismatches in Income-tax returns. As part of the digital initiative, IT Department will provide an end to end e-service using SMS, e-mails to inform the tax assesses of the mismatch. Henceforth, by using this service taxpayers will simply need to visit the e-filing portal and log in with their user-ID and password. It will help them to view mismatch related information and submit online response on the issue without physically appearing before tax authorities. Apart from it, Union Finance Minister also launched a campaign to provide public service at peoples’ door step by holding special PAN camps in remote areas. Under the campaign, special camps will be held over for two days at 43 remote, semi urban and rural locations across the country. It is the first instance IT Department facilitating in such areas for obtaining of PAN card by persons residing.

      The car comes with two engine options, both offering best-in-class fuel efficiency: the acclaimed DDiS 190 diesel engine (1.3 litre) with a fuel efficiency of 27.39 km/litre and the proven VVT Petrol (1.2 litre) with a fuel efficiency of 21.4 km/litre.      Special Fashion Show is to create awareness about the whole concept which in turn will help Autisticchildren tomorrow called ‘TRICKLE DOWN PROCESS’ , where in the teenagers and adults with AUTISM are trained to walk with finesse as a seasoned models.
