GIT alumni pledge to support the Students


Bengaluru, October 10: Belagavi based Karnataka Law Society’s 36years old Gogte Institute of Technology(GIT) Alumni South Zone members met together here at KLTA Club and taken pledge to support students of the Institute.
     GIT alumni base of 15000+ spread across the globe, with workin in the units of world class organizations. The Institute enjoys very strong bondage with alumni through active chapters an all four zones of India and Abrod. South Zone Alumni Meet, wherein more than 400 were participated and connect to their teachers and alma-meter.
       Principal, prof.A.S.Deshpande said, “inspite of being in Tier-2 city of North Karnataka, away from corporate hubs of Mumbai and Bengaluru, Insitute has been doing phenomenally good at all the parameters associated with an Engineering Institute.”
       The Institute offers 8 Undergraduate, 8 Masters Programme and 10 Research Centers with permanent affiliation and autonomous status from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi w.e.f 2015-16. GIT has been the choice of CET toppers and meritorious students, he added.
       GIT have an asset of more than 300 teachers with qualifications from premier Institutes from India and Abrod, practice excellent teaching-learning system. The new paradigm of Outcome Based Education System being practiced for past last 4 years. Based on various assessments, recently the Institute has been awarded as ‘Educational Institute with Best Academic and Industry Interface’ at the Asian Leadership awards held at Dubai on 6.10.2015. Also the Data Quest T-School award was conferred on the Institute for ‘Best Industry Interface’. In terms of academic excellence, Institute has been standing in top 5 Institutes affiliated to VTU across Karnataka, Principal explained. 
      Chairman of KLA Mr. M.R.Kulakarni, Chairman of GIT Governing Council Mr.U.N.Kalkundrikar and others were participated in the meet.
