Britannia Industries Will turn as a Global Food Company

- BIL launched a state-of-the-art Research and Development Center in Bengaluru


Bengaluru, November 22 : Britannia Industries Ltd. (BIL), now India’s leading Bakery & Diary products Company, Focussed to became a full pledged Global Food Company. For this it is expanding it's Research and Development activity in a big range. Following this BIL today announced the launch of a state-of-the-art Research & Development Center in Bidadi, Bengaluru.

The new Center and the company’s first owned manufacturing facility in the state have been set up at an investment of INR 200 Crores and will focus on fostering innovations and launch of disruptive products for Indian and global consumers. The 55,000 square foot Center was inaugurated by Industries Minister, Karnataka, Shri. R.V. Deshpande.

The state-of-the-art Center houses analytical, sensory, microbiology labs in addition to pilot plants for its core product portfolio which includes biscuits, cakes, rusk, breads and dairy. The facility has a team of seasoned food technologists, scientists, chefs and nutritionists. As a testament to their commitment to encourage diversity in the workplace, nearly half the workforce comprises women.

We aim to be a ‘Total Foods’ Company in 5 years from now, serving over a billion Indians 4 times a day,” said Varun Berry, Managing Director, Britannia Industries Limited. “This Center reinforces our commitment to deliver innovative and superior products to our consumers. The new R&D Center will act as a springboard to accelerate product innovations in newer categories and will help us in our growth into adjacent bakery segments within macro-snacking,” he added.

The manufacturing facility in Bidadi, built adjacent to the R&D Center, is also equipped with high-speed processing machinery which will redefine the frontiers of food technology in India. The facility will seamlessly channel the innovations from the R&D Center to markets across the country. Currently, the facility employs more than an 800 strong workforce and will expand up to 1350 people when it reaches 100 per cent capacity.

Britannia started its Research and Development Center in the year 1970 at Mumbai. The new Center in Karnataka is to be a consolidated facility that houses state-of-art-capability in diverse areas including Analytical Excellence Laboratory (Microbiology & Organoleptics), Product Development, Packaging Development, Scientific Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, R&D Excellence & Capability Building (Culinary Laboratory) & Dairy Development.

MV Agusta arrives in Bengaluru

Bengaluru : MV Agusta India announced its official entry in South India via an exclusive showroom in Bangalore and also unveiled the limited edition F3 800 RC AMG. Switzerland Tourism launches the new ‘Nature wants you back’ campaign




Bangalore :Switzerland Tourism announced the launch of its ‘Nature wants you back’ campaign for2017. The campaign will focus on all the action and adventure that can be explored in one of nature’s most artistic canvases – Switzerland, with the tagline ‘You can... but you don’t have to’. A part of the 2017 campaign, to be led by Brand Ambassador Ranveer Singh, the brand line is the perfect expression of how one chooses to be ‘#INLOVEWITHSWITZERLAND;have an adventurous adrenaline filled vacation or a leisurely, relaxed trip whilst taking in the beauty of the breath-taking scenery and serenity of the country.
The campaign launched in presence of the tourism partners of Switzerland – Davos Klosters, Bernina Express, St Moritz and Glacier Express, hopes to further increase and sustain the incredible growth of tourism seen in 2015-2016. KOEL Launches new HHP Gensets for the Indian Market





Bengaluru: Kirloskar Oil Engine Limited one (KOEL) India’s most trusted brands announced the launch of their new “High Horse Power Gensets” in the city today. Nissan India expands network in Bengaluru



BENGALURU,November 16—Nissan India inaugurated a new dealership in Bengaluru today, Apple Autocraft Nissan, making it the eighth outlet in Karnataka.
The dealership inauguration ceremony was graced by Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. and Dealer Principal C. Chandrshekar. They were joined by film actress Ragini Dwivedi, who also handed over cars to Nissan and Datsun customers.
This is the 12th dealership Nissan has opened in the last six months as part of its sales and service network expansion plan across India to bring itsexciting vehicles to more and more customers.
The newly-opened showroom occupies a spacious 7000 square feet andis located at810,100FT Ring Road, Hosakerahalli, 5th Block, 3rd Stage Banashankari, and Bengaluru. Christ School Celebrates Children’s Day with a Million Colours





Bengaluru November 12: It was a day to fly with Colours at Christ Color Festival with over 7,000 people across three generations – old, young and children, men and women, including students, teachers and parents, and from age 3 to 90 years – took part in the Fest, for the first time in school history, to mark Children’s Day in a truly special way. The Christ School CBSE campus was awash in a riot of colours trying their hand at giving shape to their emotions and creativity. 

The Festival was Inaugurated by Rock Star Rohit, RJ & Actor, along with Shri. Sridhar Comaravalli, Cartoonist, Rev. Fr. Augustine Paimpallil CMI , Principal, Christ School, Rev. Fr. Mathew Thadathil, Vice Principle and Kishore Joseph , Director, Breathe Entertainment. 

A concept of Breathe Entertainment, and hosted by Christ School, the Festival offered the participants a vibrant and kaleidoscopic experience of a cultural potpourri across many media and formats like Performing arts, Fine and traditional arts, Culinary arts, visual and digital art, art installations, interactive art and contemporary art. 

Curious crowds thronged the over 50 stalls, with the main attraction of the day being the special children  participating in full enthusiasm that struck a ready chord with the people.
There were famous artists too, such as Drums Circle by Drums Event India, Magic Show Flash Mob, Yoga sessions Calligraphy worksho, Dance workshop by Genesis School of Dance and exclusive Entertainment arena by Snow City
.
Kishore Joseph, Director, Breathe Entertainment, and the brain behind the event, said choosing Children’s Day for the event is our way of attempting to bring people together”  and to bring out the child in everyone. “The focus was on creativity and the right mix of colors, and it feels really great to motivate kids by organizing such events,” he said.

Color Festival was hosted by Christ School, State Syllabus, because, said Fr. Augustine Paimpallil CMI , Principal, Christ School, it’s a unique event which brings together people belonging to three generations, students, parents & teachers  under a single platform to express themselves through art and painting.
